What is the Gift of Salvation?

The bible says in Romans 10:9 " If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." The sole purpose for Jesus Christ coming to this earth was to save you from your sins. Once you accept that Jesus' purpose was fulfilled, you are saved. In order to accept this gift, you must open up your heart to receive God's love. I invite you to pray the following prayer and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, your life will never be the same:

Dear Jesus, I come to you confessing that I am a sinner. But, I recognize that I can no longer go on without You in my life. I have made some wrong decisions and taken some wrong turns, but today I turn to You. I believe that You died to pay the price for my sins, and on the third day You got up with all power in Your hands. Today I ask that You would come into my heart and transform me into a new person. I promise that I will serve you Jesus for the rest of my life.   Amen.

Once you have prayed this prayer, you are saved. Welcome to the body of Christ! In order to flourish and grow in Christ, it is important that you find a bible believing church to fellowship with other believers. In addition, it is important to read the roadmap called the Bible (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth)  that Jesus Christ left here for us to follow. Here are  a few scriptures that should get you started.

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us"
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 10:13 "For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved"
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 10: 9, 10 " That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved;10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
